It all started when we decided to try our hand at building our own home - definitely was a little ambitious! We combed our island and found a very steep, wooded lot in the centre of the valley. We decided this was to be the plot of land that we would plant our roots and grow our family. It seems we took that statement to heart as we found ourselves expecting our first little baby before we even started clearing the building site. Four short years later, a sibling was born and our family was complete. We have been steadily carving out the landscape using the natural twist and turns of the forest floor to create tiny ponds, raised decks, shady retreats and now our beautiful guest suite. Our goal is to seamlessly blend Woodlands into our landscape as naturally as possible. It will be a continued work in progress as any big project is but one that is ever rewarding.

Hello and welcome to our home. We are your local island dwellers, Geoff and Kirsten - proud parents to Logan and Chloe. We are the owners/operator of Howe Sound Automotive Ltd., a mobile mechanic shop that services our island vehicles to keep our roads safe. The boys in my family are big hikers and rock climbers and the girls are as crafty as they come.

There are three generations of us that have lived on this little rock since 1978, so I think it’s safe to say, that we can consider ourselves true Bowen Islanders (but I’ll have to check the rule book).

Geoff has over twenty years experience as an automotive mechanic, and I have been a graphic designer for just as long. We love what we do and are so excited to begin this next chapter.

When not on our rock, you can find us exploring our beautiful province and neighbours to the south in our camper with our kiddos and mutts.

We hope you enjoy our island as much as we have enjoyed sharing it with you.
